Mid-Oscar Outfit Musings
I have to start with Reese Witherspoon because those who know me know my not-so-secret girl crush. At first I wasn’t sure what I thought about this look but after time it’s grown on me. Her Giorgio Armani Prive gown was sleek and modern. It showed off her feminine figure (they have those in Hollywood?) and I loved that. Moreover, I L O V E D her hair. I’m a sucker for a good...

{LOVE} Kate Middleton's Hats
After spending close to four months in London while studying abroad, I have a special place in my heart for brits and their style. One of these such things is the hats!
I always looked at the smaller hair pieces (like the one seen on Kate Middleton, bottom left) but I knew I would never have anywhere to wear it. So not only am I jealous that brits get to buy these fabulous hats but that they...

Michelle Obama's New Stylist
I love Michelle Obama. I love J. Crew. I love fashion and creating new outfits. I love the White House. AKA I think I’d be a perfect fit for this position. Anyone want to help a girl out?
The Washington Post recently wrote this article about the First Lady’s new stylist (she’s only 29). “Ms. Koop’s responsibilities include advising the first lady on her wardrobe...

{LOVE} Hillary Clinton
Okay, so I know this isn’t a political blog and I promised content of fabulous fashion-ness, PR musings and overall humorous commentary. I think this comes close enough…
For those who know me I have this special love for Hillary Clinton. Politics aside, I think Hillary Clinton is a fabulous role model for women. She loves handbags, pop culture and helping others. Did I mention she...

{LOVE} Things that give back
As PR major and a shopping addict I have a special appreciation for companies that give back. Yes, corporate social responsibility has become the norm in today’s corporate atmosphere however the difference between giving a few bucks to the local school and basing your company off giving back is dramatic. Here are a few things I’m currently loving:
TOMS SHOES
TOMS is a shoe...

{LOVE} J. Crew
J. Crew just released it’s 2011 Lookbook making me even more excited for 70 degree days, shorts and afternoons out on the Bobs porch (I AM still in college.. for another 3 months).
I love the bright coral lipstick the models are wearing, creative use of belts and the socks-under-heels look (though I’m not quite sure I can pull that one off). More so, I love THIS look. The pop of...

New Addition
Today I made my first purchase on ETSY and bought this beautiful hand-drawn poster from Sycamore Street Press after seeing it on The Fashion Magpie. At only $35, it’ll be a great addition to any bedroom or bathroom and I can’t wait to get it! La vie en rose roughly translates to “seeing the world through rose tinted glasses.”
It's Valentines Day
As a newly single woman (SGS ladies) my valentine this year is my dad. And, if my parents really loved me they would send me this:
(Sorry about the watermark, I just really want one with a ribbon around it’s neck.. Is that too much to ask?)
Happy valentines day everyone!

{LOVE} Nordstrom
My shopping habits can be characterized by one word: Nordstrom. Growing up with a mom from Seattle guaranteed that my childhood shopping memories included a piano player, Nordstrom kids shoes and hiding in the St. John racks.
Reasons Nordstrom is better than Neimans, Saks, Barneys etc:
Anniversary sale, customer service, customer loyalty, piano player, not snotty, Classiques Entier, athletic...

Fashion Inspiration
I saw this picture from Jason Wu’s spring fashion show in NYC on Nordstrom’s style blog, The Thread. I love the crisp, tailored cream blazer & shorts combo! Coupled with a sheer blouse with a large bow gives it that feminine, sexy edge.
I wish I could own this.. and find a job somewhere where I could wear it too!
